About Kay

Kay creates hand drawn pastel portraits of animals capturing their spirit and personality. The paintings are so lifelike they almost seem like they could speak.
Kay works from multiple photographs which allows her to accurately capture your pet and create a true likeness. She creates a painting that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Artist ,Kay Witt, has been drawing and painting since she was old enough to hold a pencil. Born in Charleston, SC, Kay attended Clemson University where she met and married her life long love, Steve Witt. Even though Kay has traveled extensively, she is a Southern girl at heart.
Kay has had extensive experience in oils, pastels, colored pencils and watercolors. In addition to painting people and animals, Kay also paints murals.
Kay has had a varied career as an illustrator and graphic artist. She has designed illustrations for book covers, logos, and Christmas cards.
Kay has won many awards and her work hangs in private collections around the country.
Kay currently lives with her husband in Northern Virginia.
